When Zendaya and her longtime stylist and “image architect” Law Roach take on activewear, they don’t just dress for a workout—they build an entire cinematic universe. For their second co-designed collection with Swiss sportswear brand On , the duo has orchestrated the ultimate high-fashion transformation of technical performance-wear into cinematic, everyday streetwear.
Trading conventional gym studio tropes for an adrenaline-pumping espionage narrative set against the striking modernist architecture of Prague, the campaign proves that functional activewear can carry high-octane “main character energy” anywhere from city rooftops to high-fashion front rows.
The Narrative Architecture of Modern Athleisure
Captured in a thrilling short film directed by Argentinian filmmaking trio Pantera with still photography shot by Cass Bird , the Fall/Winter 2026 campaign positions Zendaya as a full-fledged action protagonist performing her own acrobatic stunts, martial arts sequences, and rooftop escapes.
Filmed around iconic Czech modernist landmarks—including the towering Strahov ventilation shafts and the National Museum—the visuals frame movement not as repetitive fitness routine, but as empowerment, agility, and unapologetic self-command.
Roach approached the collection’s development through the lens of silhouette architecture. Rather than treating performance apparel as purely utilitarian, the garments sculpt waistlines, introduce dramatic cocoon volumes, and incorporate fluid tailoring that transitions effortlessly from high-intensity motion to off-duty luxury.
“We wanted this collection to feel like armor for real life—functional enough to sprint across rooftops, but tailored enough to hold court anywhere.”
Python Print as “Modern Camo”
The visual anchor driving this 15-piece capsule is a bold, bespoke technical python print. Rather than treating reptilian textures as flashy animal novelty, Zendaya conceptualized the pattern as a playful spin on urban camouflage—a sleek “modern camo” that acts as an unexpected neutral while providing rich visual depth.
The pattern finds its sharpest expression in the Studio Bodysuit. Engineered with a form-hugging silhouette, an architectural mock neck, zip-front hardware, and a streamlined racerback cut, it acts as a sculptural second skin.
Layered over the bodysuit, the oversized Half-Zip Anorak introduces high-performance weatherproofing without sacrificing high-fashion proportion. Constructed with Polartec® Alpha® insulation and customizable bungee-cord hems, the jacket allows wearers to switch between a dramatic cocoon shape and a cropped, cinched silhouette.
The “Cloudnova Moon” Mary Jane Sneaker
The hero footwear takeaway of the collaboration is the Cloudnova Moon, an innovative hybrid that marries the delicate, nostalgic charm of a classic Mary Jane silhouette with On’s high-performance running technology.
Engineered with a circular-knit upper, an elasticated speed-lace strap across the foot, and On’s signature CloudTec® sole unit, the shoe directly answers the cultural intersection of balletcore nostalgia and athletic utility. Available in versatile palettes including Clove/Ivory, Dew/Antler, and Black/Ivory, it represents a benchmark moment in modern footwear hybrids.
The shoe pairs effortlessly across the collection’s softer apparel items, such as the Studio Long-T and relaxed track pants. Designed with thumbhole cuffs and ultra-soft, moisture-wicking technical knits, the pieces create a streamlined look that feels just as natural at a post-workout brunch as it does on a flight.
Action-Hero Movement, BTS Stunt Work & Global Rollout
Behind the scenes in Prague, Zendaya bypassed CGI body doubles and stunt stand-ins, working alongside professional choreographers to execute martial arts kicks, ledge balances, and kinetic sprints across the Czech capital.
This physical authenticity underlines the collection’s foundational thesis: true luxury activewear should empower unrestricted movement while maintaining runway-level poise.
To accompany the global launch, On is rolling out an ambitious immersive pop-up strategy across cultural hubs including Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, and Chengdu, bringing the cinematic world of Zendaya and Law Roach directly to global fashion and athletic communities.
